Rhonda K. Yantiss

Dr. Rhonda K. Yantiss received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School. She completed training in anatomic pathology at the Massachusetts General Hospital, where she also served as Chief Resident and the Benjamin Castleman surgical pathology fellow, followed by a gastrointestinal pathology fellowship at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She holds the title of Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and serves as Chief of the Gastrointestinal Pathology Service at Weill Cornell Medical College.
Dr. Yantiss serves as an ad hoc reviewer for numerous scientific journals, and is an editorial board member of the American Journal of Surgical Pathology, Modern Pathology, the American Journal of Clinical Pathology, and Seminars in Diagnostic Pathology. She is a Senior Associate Editor of Modern Pathology and an Associate Editor of Archives of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Dr. Yantiss was recently appointed to the ARP Press 5th series/AFIP Fascicles Editorial Advisory Board, and has served as guest editor for Seminars in Diagnostic Pathology, Archives of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, and Surgical Pathology Clinics.
Dr. Yantiss is the Chair of the USCAP Abstract Review and Assignment Subcommittee and co-directs the USCAP Diagnostic Pathology Update annual course. She is a former president Rodger C. Haggitt Gastrointestinal Pathology Society, and served as chair of the Education and Nomination Committees of that organization. She is also a member of the Anatomic Pathology Test Development and Advisory Committee of the American Board of Pathology.
