Professor To was graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). He received pathology training in the Anatomical and Cellular Pathology (ACP) Department, Prince of wales Hospital, HKSAR and obtained the pathologist fellowship qualification in Hong Kong and Australasia (FHKCPath, FHKAM(Path), FRCPA). Being a practicing pathologist, he received Pediatric pathology subspecialty training in Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, London, UK. Professor To currently is the Chairman of Anatomical & Cellular Pathology (ACP) Department, CUHK. He is the Associate Director of State Key Laboratory of Translational Oncology (CUHK) and Investigator of State Key Laboratory in Digestive Disease Research (CUHK). He awarded the Outstanding Fellow of The Faculty of Medicine. He also served as the Director of the Pathology Teaching Laboratory. Professor To is supervisor for PhD students and post-doctoral fellows, currently four of his PhD students are appointed at Assistant/ Associate Professor rank.
Professor To's research interest includes common Asian Cancers and Molecular diagnostic. He also served as advisory board member for various Pharmcotherapeutic industries. He participates in the recent WHO classification of Lung Tumors. Professor To is the author or co-author of ~450 international peer-reviewed indexed articles with H-index 73 (ISI Web of science).
